Our one-year trip started on September 5, 2007, three days after our wedding in Petoskey, Michigan. After spending the first four days in Paris, France, we traveled for six months in Asia, two months in South America, seven weeks in Africa and ten weeks in Europe. We returned to the US on September 5, 2008 – exactly one year from the day we left.
